1.How to get a new water connection?

The Public Utilities Board (PUBWater )’s Supply (Network) Department is in charge of operating and maintaining the water mains and connecting pipes up to the water meter.

  • By submitting the site plans and schematic drawings for the water service installation, the water service employees are required by the process to notify PUB before beginning water service operations.
  • The Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standard CP48 – Code of Practice for Water Services, as well as any other applicable statutory requirements and other PUB regulations, must all be complied with before a water service installation can be considered satisfactorily finished.
  • Professional Engineers (PEs) or Licensed Plumbers (LPs), who provide water service, are exempt from requesting PUB permission for the detailed water reticulation system plans and applying for an inspection prior to turning on the water supply.

  • You can contact 1800 555 1661 or make an online appointment.
  • For residential, commercial, and industrial users, City Energy installs gas pipes.
  • After the rehabilitation and installation of the gas pipes are finished, a gas supply activation appointment is necessary so that the gas meter can be fitted and the gas supply can be turned on in the building.
  • Following installation, City Energy will repair the gas meter and make sure the necessary tests are carried out before turning on the gas supply.
