The Community Development Councils (CDCs) were established under the People’s Association Act in 1997. Since then, the CDCs have been bridging communities (i.e. by strengthening local social infrastructure, building social resilience and social capital, and promoting the culture of giving back), through the following functions:

What are the Common Flagship Programmes?
- CDC Vouchers Scheme 2023
- Singaporean household will receive a total of $300 CDC Vouchers on 3 January 2023.
- Goods & Services Tax (GST) for Singaporean households and the $1.5 billion
- Singaporean household can claim $300 in CDC Vouchers.
- The value of the vouchers will be allocated equally $150 each
- to be spent at participating heartland merchants and hawkers
