How to apply and obtain a hawker license?

Individuals, societies registered with the MHA, or entities registered with the ACRA may all apply for this license. Potential licensees have the option of applying on their own or through a filter.

This application applies only to food stalls not located within one of the 107 NEA managed hawker centres.

Steps 1. Login to the website

  • Then select “Singapore Food Agency” under “Browse All Licences.” Go ahead and search for “Food Stall Licence” before clicking “Apply on Go Business Licensing.”
  • Step 2 You will be taken to this page after clicking “Apply on Go Business Licensing.” Select the appropriate login method based on the intended licensee (Business, ie. Company or Individual).
  • Step 3 – After logging in, you will see your dashboard. Click on “Licence Application”
  • You will see a list of SFA licenses and certificates. Select “Food Stall Licence” from this list. Click “Review and Apply” once selected.

  • The checkbox next to “Food Stall Licence” is checked when you reach Step 1 of the license application process.
  • At the bottom of the page, click “Apply.” To complete this application, you must upload the layout design scaled in metric units, the rental agreement, and the Certificate of Stamp Duty issued by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) at Step 4.
  • You must supply information about your business or yourself at this stage (depending on who is meant to be the license holder). It is necessary to include information such as the licensee’s name, applicant’s address, and postal address.
  • You must fill out this section with information about your proposed business. This section requests the operating address of the business.
  • More particular information about your prospective business, such as the Business Name and Hours of Operation, must be provided here.
  • Give details about your food hygiene staff. Choose the “Role” and “Course Type Attended” that are most pertinent.
  • To enter the information for more than one employee, keep clicking “Add.” The necessary personnel information can be found at the bottom of the page.
  • Provide emergency contact details
  • Upload the rental agreement, the layout plan scaled in metric units, and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)-issued Certificate of Stamp Duty here. Any other documentation can be provided upon SFA‘s request.
  • Before submitting the application, make sure the layout plan, tenancy agreement, and stamp duty certificate have all been uploaded. When your submission is successful, you will get an acknowledgment.
  • After that check the status of the application
  • Then You will be notified via email when the application has been approved.
  • You will receive a payment notification via email informing you that you can pay for your license.

Documents Required

  • The applicant’s NRIC on paper
  • A copy of the company’s business profile as registered with ACRA
  • Letter of authorization
  • Floor plan
  • Layout plan of the premises
  • Pest Control Contract
  • Tenancy Agreement/ Letter of consent
  • Cleaning program/schedule
  • Work Permit, Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and Refresher Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Letter from the “WSQ Apply FSMS for Food Service Establishments” course Approved Training Organizations stating that a valid HACCP certificate is approved by SFA
