GST Voucher – U-Save
It provides lower- and middle-income Singaporean HDB households with quarterly rebates to offset their utilities bills. GST Voucher – U-Save is paid in January, April, July and October each year.It will be automatically credited to the utilities account of the household upon account opening. Each flat will receive only 1 GST Voucher − U-Save benefit, based on the HDB flat type..Annually, the permanent GST Voucher – U-Save rebate has enabled households in 1- and 2-room HDB flats to receive support which is equivalent to about 3 to 4 months of their utilities bills on average. Those living in 3- and 4-room HDB flats have received support equivalent to about 1 to 2 months of their utilities bills. Around 900,000 eligible Singaporean HDB households will receive 1.5 to 3.5 months of S&CC rebates until January next year, depending on their HDB flat type.
GST Voucher – U-Save : Households Eligibility
- If you own and live in your HDB flat, there must be at least one Singapore citizen owner or occupier in the flat
- If you partially rented out the HDB flat that you own and live in, there must be at least one Singapore citizen owner or occupier in the flat
- If the entire flat is rented out to you, there must be at least one Singaporean tenant;
- Each flat will receive only 1 GST Voucher − U-Save benefit, based on the HDB flat type.
As announced in Budget 2018, eligible households will receive an additional $20 per year from 2019 to 2021, which will be paid out in quarterly tranches. Any unused GST Voucher – U-Save will continue to be rolled over to help offset your household’s utility bills for the following months. It will lapse only when your household’s utilities account is closed.

How will I be Notified if eligible for GST Voucher – U-Save?
This year, if you have updated your mobile number with SingPass, you would have received SMS notifications about your GST Voucher – Cash and Medisave eligibility from 27 to 29 June. This is faster and more convenient, and eco-friendly as well. The sender of the SMS would be “GSTV”, and the SMS would request that you log into www.gstvoucher.gov.sg with your SingPass details to view the benefits.
