About Kampong Glam Community Club
in Beach Road, Singapore
Kampong Glam CC is conveniently located along Beach Road next to the Army Market and Golden Mile Food Centre. It is the only CC in Singapore with a tennis court, and offers beginner and intermediate tennis classes.
Besides this, the CC also offers a range of computer classes on Microsoft Office programmes like Excel, Word and Powerpoint, for the less savvy to improve their IT skills.
For the health conscious, the CC offers Chair Yoga which is a modified form of Hatha Yoga movements and postures where the chair replaces the yoga mat. It is a versatile and a natural stress-buster for all ages.
The CC is very active on the arts and culture front. The Kampong Glam Lion Dance Troupe is over 40 years old, while the Ceramic Art Club promotes artistic ceramic craftsmanship using wood firing which is one of the oldest firing techniques.
